Here’s a bit of an oddity. Tony Wood, a British skater from Essex, has been putting pen-to-paper and writing poems for years, and compiled a selection of skate-related poetry with some doodles, illustrations and photos by other skaters from the UK scene. The finished product is a brilliant little read – fun to flick through over a cup of coffee while you rest your buggered back and aching ankles.
Just a note, though – Tony’s prone to the odd swear word and… ahem… “naughty” turn of phrase (the lines “You pull my legs apart / Like a badly treated tart” in one of the poems we photographed for this page is a good example of that), so if you’re buying this as a gift for someone, bear that in mind!
