The Mike Rogers Pelican deck from Mode Skateboards is a 28.75″ long single-kick freestyle board – meaning it’s got a totally flat nose, perfect for casper tricks and other such 80s goodness. A hint of concave develops along the very outer edge of the board but the deck is essentially flat.
At a 7.3″ width, this board lines up perfectly with trucks with a 6.9″ axle such as the FILM 109. Just throw some freestyle wheels on and you’re good to go.
MODE Skateboards is collaborating with Grind For Life for the release of the Mike Rogers freestyle model. Five dollars from the sale of each board goes to Mike’s nonprofit GFL organisation which provides financial assistance to cancer patients who have to travel long distances for treatment.
Like all Mode skateboards, the Mike Rogers Pelican was made in the USA and screened with five colours by hand by Mode’s head honcho, Terry Synnott. This isn’t some lesser product churned out somewhere in Europe. This is the real deal, just as you’d buy from the US – only without getting stung by import tax.

This is an amazing single kick Freestyle deck from mode. Has the perfect size wheel base for me with just the right amount of mellow concave. Offset never lets you down. Thanks Tony
