If you’re sick of cracking decks, constantly find your trucks shifting about on the deck, or all your local streets are a little too rough to push on without rattling your fillings loose, you might want some shock pads.

Once upon a time, it was pretty common for skate stores in the UK to stock rubber risers of one form or another. However, they seem to have fallen out of favour for some reason – possibly because most of them were bloody terrible (they’d mush out the sides of the baseplate, or were so soft they made your setup feel like an unresponsive marshmallow).

Luckily, we’ve fallen onto a cache of Khiro’s shock pads. These things are considerably better made than most cheap shock pads, and may well be the solution to all of life’s problems – as long as life’s problems are limited to vibration and impact damage.

Also, yes – these come as a pair. One pack will be enough for one complete skateboard. You can also pair them with other risers if you fancy building a monster truck but still want to dampen some vibration in there.
