The latest “bro model” from Heroin is in honour of Jay Green, one of Fos’ OG local heroes growing up in Manchester; there’s something very cool about the fact that 30 years later, Fos can put this sort of thing out there. Who would have expected a brand with a name like Heroin to be so wholesome?
Like a lot of recent Heroin decks, this has a bit of a subtle shape to it, so be sure to check the description below for details of the width at the trucks so you can figure out how best to set it up.

Choosing trucks for a shaped deck isn’t as simple as with a “normal” straight-sided popsicle. The widest point of the Jay Green Manchester 1988 is 8.88″ (we see what you did there, Fos), but it narrows slightly to 8.75″ at the front truck and just 8.4″ at the back truck.
Personally, we’d go with the 8.75″ axle of the 6.0″ Film trucks for this one – yeah, you’ll get some exposed wheel at the back, but that’s not the end of the world with a deck like this.
The red baseplate of the Film x FTC collab trucks would look especially nice with this graphic, now we think about it…
