This Ben Koppl signature deck from Blast Skates is a bit of a modern classic; it really put Blast on the radar for a lot of people. If you’ve not ridden one before, now’s your chance – but we recommend you watch some of Koppl’s clips to get a feel for it first!
Due to the slight curve of both rails, you’re probably going to want some slightly smaller trucks than the width suggests. Check the description below for details so you can figure out how best to set up this shaped deck.

Choosing trucks for a shaped deck isn’t as simple as with a “normal” straight-sided popsicle. Although this Ben Koppl pro model from Blast isn’t as wildly shaped as some of their other decks, the 8.5″ width in the middle narrows to 8.25″ at both trucks.
We’d be tempted to recommend the 8.2″ wide Ace AF1 44 for this one, but honestly, the 8.25″ wide FILM 5.5 are a shockingly good truck and a fair bit cheaper, so we recommend you go for the FILMs and use the pennies you save for some really nice wheels.
