Choosing trucks for a shaped deck isn’t as simple as with a “normal” straight-sided popsicle. The widest point of this Nasir Roumou pro model from Blast is 10″, but it narrows to 9.5″ at the front truck and just 8.5″ at the back.
There’s two trains of thought with decks like this; you can go as close as possible to the width at the front truck with something like the 9.33″ axle of the Ace 66s and deal with the exposed truck at the rear or split the difference with something smaller like the 9″ Gullwing Pro IIIs to minimise the amount of uncovered axle.
Personally, we’d go for the Pro IIIs – especially if you’re planning on using some wider wheels like some of Snot’s offerings – but you can’t really go wrong either way.
