Some thought they were a passing trend, but now it looks like rails are back for good.
They disappeared from use for something like twenty years, but people are finally relearning the fact that bolting hard plastic ribs to the bottom of your board not only gives you an easier slide on rough (or even unwaxed) surfaces, but also gives you that little bit extra to grab onto in mid-air. They’re not for everyone, but give them a good try at least once – some folks absolutely swear by them, especially on bigger (9″+) decks.
